Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Conemaugh Valley). They walked away with a 58-51 win over the Northern Cambria Colts on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Jays as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Conemaugh Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Illy Darcangelo led the charge by putting up 20 points along with seven boards and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Penelope Reininger, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.

Conemaugh Valley's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-16. As for Northern Cambria, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-18.
