Basketball Recap: Jordyn Dutto Key Part of Team Effort in Scots Win

Highland won the last time they faced Delano and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Scots enjoyed a cozy 50-31 win over the Tigers.

Highland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordyn Dutto led the charge by dropping a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards. Those 12 points gave Dutto a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Janaye Phillips, who went 7-for-17 to rack up 16 points and eight rebounds.

Highland now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Delano, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Highland will welcome Wasco at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Delano, they will be taking part in a tournament against Independence at 6:45 p.m. on the 11th.
