Baseball Recap: Pace Academy Comes Up Short

Whitefield Academy hit Pace Academy with a five-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights lost 11-2 to the WolfPack. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the WolfPack this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 on Wednesday.

Pace Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Harmon, who went 1-for-2 with one run. Charlie Dobbie also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Pace Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Whitefield Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Coming up, Pace Academy will host Riverwood at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Whitefield Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Eagle's Landing Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
