Baseball Game Preview: Union Grove Wolverines vs. Woodland Wolfpack

For the second straight game, Union Grove will face off against Woodland. Union Grove will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Woodland at 5:55 p.m. Union Grove is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

On Monday, Union Grove needed a bit of extra time to put away Woodland. They walked away with a 9-6 win over the Wolfpack.

For Woodland's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Washington, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most hits Washington has posted since back in February. Dewaine Mitchell was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Union Grove's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Woodland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
