Soccer Recap: Manzano's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

If Manzano was feeling good fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Bosque on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Monarchs lost 4-0 to the Santa Fe Prep Blue Griffins on Saturday. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Manzano couldn't quite close it out.

Having lost for the first time this season, Manzano fell to 3-1. As for Santa Fe Prep, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Manzano will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Highland at 4:00 p.m. on September 8. As for Santa Fe Prep, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 5-0 loss against Santa Fe on the 28th.
