Softball Recap: Midwest City Triumphs

Midwest City's tournament run continued when they took on Bishop McGuinness on Saturday. The Bombers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Fighting Irish 5-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bombers.

The team relied heavily on Liv Davis, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Jayda Jacobs was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Midwest City's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Bishop McGuinness, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-21.

Midwest City wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Clinton on the 20th. Bishop McGuinness has also already played their next game (against Lawton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
