Recap: Overfelt Royals vs. Mountain View Spartans
This season hasn't been kind to the Overfelt Royals, who are still winless after their fourth game. They took a serious blow against Mountain View on Friday, falling 61-14. Overfelt was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-4.
Alana Hernandez continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mountain View, going 8 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 2 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Hernandez has scored at least 25% of Mountain View's points. Ellie Westgate was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Overfelt's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Mountain View, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Overfelt will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Newark Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th. Mountain View's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lincoln at 1:00 p.m. on December 9th.
