Soccer Game Preview: Santa Ana Valley vs. Western

The Santa Ana Valley Falcons will venture away from home to challenge the Western Pioneers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Santa Ana Valley's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Santiago 3-0. Considering the Falcons have won six matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Krystal Mercado and Jayleen Roldan scored all three of Santa Ana Valley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

While Western's fans didn't get a definitive result on Tuesday, they were treated to the team's highest-scoring tie of the season. They and Magnolia finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw.

Santa Ana Valley's win bumped their record up to 11-5-3. Western's draw makes their record 3-8-4 this season.
