Basketball Recap: Juniata Christian Takes a Loss

Juniata Christian was the 36-34 winner over Columbia County Christian when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Juniata Christian took a blow against Columbia County Christian on Tuesday, falling 53-12. Juniata Christian was down 43-8 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Columbia County Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elizabeth Yocum, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Ashleigh Boudman, who earned 15 points.

Juniata Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Columbia County Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Juniata Christian will head out to challenge Belleville Mennonite at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Juniata Christian is facing Belleville Mennonite at the right time seeing as Belleville Mennonite is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Columbia County Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
