Gothenburg came out on top against Chase County on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Swedes were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Longhorns. Winning may never get old, but the Swedes sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Paislee Erickson looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Madilyn McNally was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Liv Streeter was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Gothenburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .560 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Gothenburg now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Chase County, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Gothenburg wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-1 defeat against Polk County on the 16th. As for Chase County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-0 loss against Gering on the 16th.
