Football Recap: Mesabi East Comes Up Short

Mesabi East and Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Mesabi East had to settle for second. They lost 34-12 to the Raiders. The Giants' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Mesabi East's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5.

Mesabi East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin, they will take on Moose Lake/Willow River on Saturday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Rebels have now posted at least 31 points in their last six games.
