Basketball Recap: Corona del Mar Comes Up Short

Corona del Mar lost against Shadow Hills back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Corona del Mar Sea Kings fell just short of the Shadow Hills Knights by a score of 46-44. While losing is never fun, the Sea Kings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Knights are ranked 126th).

Corona del Mar's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Shadow Hills, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Corona del Mar will host Fountain Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Shadow Hills, they will welcome Palm Springs at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
