Football Game Preview: Plano West Wolves vs. McKinney Lions + How To Watch

The Plano West Wolves will square off against the McKinney Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McKinney took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Plano West, who comes in off a win.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Plano West and Plano meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 35-14 margin over the Wildcats. That 21 point margin sets a new team best for the Wolves this season.

Jordan Grant went supernova, rushing for 148 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Mayse, who rushed for 86 yards and one TD on only ten carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Plano West was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 324 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, McKinney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 30-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Princeton.

Plano West's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.7 points over those games. As for McKinney, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
