Softball Recap: Lakeside Falls to Pierce County in First Game of Season

Lakeside had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 4-0 to the Pierce County Bears on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Lakeside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was LAUREN CONLEY, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

The victory keeps Pierce County at an undefeated 5-0.

Lakeside wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-1 loss against Glascock County on the 8th. As for Pierce County, they will venture away from home to challenge South Effingham at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
