Softball Recap: Westminster's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Westminster extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping them up to 4-0. They never let the Centennial Knights get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. While the Wildcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

As for Centennial, they now have a losing record of 2-3. They haven't had much luck with Westminster recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

For Centennial's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Megan Bailey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Iyanna Boykin also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Coincidentally, Westminster and Centennial will both be playing Long County the next time they take the field. The Knights will host the Blue Tide at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
