Softball Recap: Quapaw Comes Up Short

After flying high against Oklahoma Union on Wednesday, Quapaw came back down to earth. The Wildcats came up short against the Vinita Hornets on Friday, falling 12-2. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in August of 2023.

Kyleigh Redden was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Quapaw has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Vinita, they moved to 14-18 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Quapaw wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 5-1 defeat against Colcord on the 22nd. As for Vinita, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-0 loss against Verdigris on the 22nd.
