Baseball Recap: Conant Comes Up Short

Conant blew Prospect Mountain out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Prospect Mountain got their revenge. The Orioles fell just short of the Apaches by a score of 2-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Orioles were not able to get on the board.

Conant's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Prospect Mountain, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Conant will face off against Bishop Brady at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Giants' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Orioles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Prospect Mountain, they will challenge Derryfield at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Apaches 2.6, the Cougars 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
