Soccer Game Preview: Monroe vs. Lanier County

The Monroe Golden Tornadoes will head out on the road to square off against the Lanier County Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Monroe's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Monroe lost 11-1 to Dougherty on Thursday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Golden Tornadoes were already down 5-1.

Their goal came courtesy of Richard Morris, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Lanier County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Echols County, falling 7-3.

Lanier County's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
