Willow posted their closest victory since March 31, 2025 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the A.J. Ellender Patriots 12-11. The victory was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won three matchups in a row.

The win was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 3-1-1. As for A.J. Ellender, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Willow has already played their next game, a 21-9 loss against Edna Karr on the 28th. As for A.J. Ellender, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 17-0 defeat against Destrehan on the 28th.
