Football Recap: Cedar Hill Falls Short of Harker Heights in the Playoffs + How To Watch

Cedar Hill and Harker Heights squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Cedar Hill had to settle for second. They took a hard 28-14 fall against the Knights. The Longhorns were down 28-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Omowale Muhammid threw for 83 yards on nine of 20 attempts. Trent Jones was his top target, picking up 56 receiving yards. On the ground, Jalen Brewster rushed for 92 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.

Harker Heights' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hudson Humble led the charge by throwing for 292 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 88.5% of his passes. Jaylen Mason helped Humble out on the ground, rushing for 120 yards and one score.

Cedar Hill dropped their record down to 6-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Harker Heights, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Cedar Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harker Heights, they will host Forney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Jackrabbits have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
