Soccer Game Preview: Western vs. Santa Ana Valley

The Western Pioneers will face off against the Santa Ana Valley Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Western's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Western's last game might've seen four goals scored, but the final result was still a bit underwhelming. Neither they nor Magnolia could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, Santa Ana Valley kept a clean sheet against Santiago on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Cavaliers as they made off with a 3-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won six contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Krystal Mercado and Jayleen Roldan scored all three of Santa Ana Valley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Santa Ana Valley's victory bumped their record up to 11-5-3. Western's draw gives them a new season record of 3-8-4.
