Simpson Academy extended their postseason success on Saturday against Parklane Academy. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Pioneers a 12-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won 22 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Simpson Academy's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 31-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Parklane Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Simpson Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pioneers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
