Baseball Recap: Steeleville Takes a Loss

Steeleville had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 11-11 to make it four. They came up short against the Chester Yellowjackets, falling 9-0. Considering the last time the Warriors couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

As for Chester, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-13. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by nine runs or more this season.

For Chester's part, the result came thanks to Kale Sprengel's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Chester saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Blechle, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Another was Reagan Sims, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

As of now, neither Steeleville nor Chester have any future games scheduled.
