Soccer Recap: Olympian Takes a Loss

Olympian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Otay Ranch Mustangs. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Olympian's loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for Otay Ranch, their win bumped their record up to 7-2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Olympian has already played their next match (against Mater Dei Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Otay Ranch is taking a road trip to square off against Bonita Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Otay Ranch is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.
