Basketball Recap: Moniteau Falls Despite Big Games from Sayge Brunst and Emily Matz

Moniteau lost against Karns City back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors came up short against the Gremlins, falling 56-34.

Despite the defeat, Moniteau had strong showings from Emily Matz, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards, and Sayge Brunst, who shot 42% from the field to rack up 14 points and five rebounds. Matz is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Moniteau's loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Moniteau and Karns City will both be playing Keystone the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Gremlins will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
