Softball Recap: Sandy Creek Comes Up Short

Sandy Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-1 to the LaGrange Grangers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grangers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-3 back in August.

Sandy Creek saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brielle Thompson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Sandy Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for LaGrange, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Sandy Creek is set to take on their familiar foe Spalding at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, LaGrange will square off against rival Whitewater at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
