Soccer Recap: Cherokee Bluff Takes a Loss

Cherokee Bluff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oconee County Warriors. While losing is never fun, Cherokee Bluff can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 356th, while Oconee County are ranked 49th).

Cherokee Bluff's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Oconee County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5.

Cherokee Bluff and Oconee County will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Bears see the pitch they'll take on Gainesville at 7:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Oconee County, their break will end when they face Parkview at 7:45 p.m. on the 15th.
