North is 4-0 against Mira Costa since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The North Saxons will take on the Mira Costa Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. North will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, North didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Glendora, but they still walked away with a 46-40 victory. Given the Saxons' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Tartans are ranked 145th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Mira Costa strolled past West with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 46-32.

North's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Mira Costa, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.

Everything went North's way against Mira Costa in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as North made off with a 67-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for North since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
