Soccer Game Preview: Benicia vs. Alhambra

The Benicia Panthers will challenge the Alhambra Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Alhambra took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Benicia, who comes in off a win.

Benicia will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Campolindo, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Cougars 3-2 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Benicia.

Meanwhile, Alhambra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Acalanes.

Benicia's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-7-1. As for Alhambra, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.
