Football Game Preview: Columbus Crusaders vs. Tomball Christian HomeSchool Warriors

After both having extra time off, Columbus Crusaders and the Tomball Christian HomeSchool Warriors will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Columbus Crusaders is coming into the contest hot, having won their last ten games.

Last Saturday, Columbus Crusaders earned a 32-25 victory over Osceola Grace Eagles.

Ezekiel Bowie produced another solid effort rushing for 339 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 116 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Columbus Crusaders was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 396 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Columbus Crusaders didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Braden Miller and Alex Fries.

Meanwhile, Tomball Christian HomeSchool didn't have quite enough to beat Atlas HomeSchool on Friday and fell 35-33. While the Warriors had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Rattlers 19-7.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Tomball Christian HomeSchool, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Ian Stavinoha, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Even if they lost, Tomball Christian HomeSchool's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Leading the way was Luke Harrison with three. Another thorn in Atlas HomeSchool's side was Jacob Muhle, who picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles.

Columbus Crusaders' win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Tomball Christian HomeSchool, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
