On Friday, the Brownstown Central Braves rang in the new year with a 43-36 victory over the Lanesville Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Braves.

Lanesville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Hadley Crosier, who posted seven points along with five assists and three steals. Crosier is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. Hylton Brumley was another key player, going 6 of 13 on her way to 15 points.

Brownstown Central's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-4. As for Lanesville, their defeat ended a 17-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-2-1.
