Baseball Recap: Madison Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Madison entered their tilt with North Bergen on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bruins an 11-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Dodgers, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Thomas Ferraiolo made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

In other pitching news, James Doehner looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, Michael Mejia was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Luke McGuire, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Madison always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Bergen only posted an OBP of .217.

Madison's record is now 15-7-1. As for North Bergen, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.

Coming up, Madison will square off against Morristown-Beard at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Bergen, they will challenge Montclair at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
