Soccer Game Preview: Marshall vs. Kennedy

The Marshall Barristers are taking a road trip to take on the Kennedy Golden Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Marshall is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

Marshall had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the four-goal drubbing they dealt Franklin on Friday. The Barristers' defense stepped up to hand the Panthers a 4-0 shutout. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Marshall's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 466th, while Franklin are ranked 941st).

Meanwhile, Kennedy earned a 3-1 win over San Fernando on Friday. Kennedy haven't had any issues with San Fernando recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Kennedy hit San Fernando with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Francesca Lozano, Maya Magallanes, and Alexandra Simonian.

Kennedy's win bumped their record up to 12-4-2. As for Marshall, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5-2.
