The Mt. Carmel Sundevils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 12th straight loss. They were dealt a 71-34 loss at the hands of Mater Dei Catholic. Mt. Carmel was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-15.

Mt. Carmel's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Weede, who scored 11 points along with four steals. Randi Arcala was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
