Game recap: Lakeville North High School Football Team takes down Cretin-Derham Hall

LAKEVILLE, Minn. - Lakeville North (Lakeville, Minn.) saw its eight-point lead shrink to two, but hung on to defeat Cretin-Derham Hall (St. Paul, Minn.) 14-12 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown in the second quarter, the Panthers led 7-6 at the half.

Lakeville North expanded its lead to eight points entering the fourth quarter. LN's lone score in the quarter came on a Jamiah Newell touchdown run.

The loss snapped Cretin-Derham Hall's six-game winning streak.

Cretin-Derham Hall's only touchdown came on a 1-yard run by Blake Banham in the fourth quarter.



The Lakeville school came into the game allowing 8.1 points per game.

The defeat comes as a step back for Cretin-Derham Hall, who notched a 41-0 victory over Stillwater in its previous outing.
