Gregori proved they can win big on Friday (they won by seven) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Torres Toros 1-0. Gregori's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matches.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Melanie Contreras, who's now up to four this season.

Gregori's victory bumped their record up to 8-0-1. As for Torres, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Gregori wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 4-0 win against Tracy on the 19th. As for Torres, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Sierra Pacific on the 19th.
