Softball Game Preview: Bethlehem Christian Academy Knights vs. Johns Creek Gladiators

The Bethlehem Christian Academy Knights will head out to take on the Johns Creek Gladiators at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Bethlehem Christian Academy not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 9th (when they won 20-0). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Tallulah Falls a 20-0 shutout. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Bethlehem Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Gracyn Johnson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those three runs gave Johnson a new career-high. Belle Germaine also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Bethlehem Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .742. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Johns Creek hadn't done well against Chattahoochee recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Gladiators blew past the Cougars 17-2.

Swara Khatri looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Reese Stiltner was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Zelda Arthur, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Bethlehem Christian Academy's record now sits at 15-7. As for Johns Creek, their record is now 10-15.
