Recap: Sun Valley Vanguards vs. Bayard Rustin Golden Knights
It was a good run, but the Sun Valley Vanguards unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Bayard Rustin, falling 50-18. Sun Valley lost against Bayard Rustin in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 65-34 score last time.
Riley Stackhouse continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bayard Rustin, scoring 23 points along with three steals. Stackhouse is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jenna Kraft, who scored three points along with seven assists and four steals.
Sun Valley's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-1. As for Bayard Rustin, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Sun Valley will head out on the road to face off against Great Valley at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Bayard Rustin will be home for the holidays to greet Central Bucks East at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
