Soccer Recap: Albia Triumphs

While Albia's win against Sigourney wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Demons skirted past the Savages 4-3. That's two games straight that Albia have won by just one goal.

The victory made it two in a row for Albia and bumps their season record up to 3-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two contests. As for Sigourney, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Looking ahead, Albia will venture away from home to square off against Grand View Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Albia will be up against Grand View Christian's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.73 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Sigourney, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chariton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
