Basketball Recap: St. Lucy's Takes a Loss

After flying high against Entrepreneur on Monday, St. Lucy came back down to earth. The Regents were just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 36-35 to the Kaiser Cats. The loss put an end to the Regents' undefeated start to the season.

Several Regents players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Stella Yegge, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 14 boards. Adamari Cuevas was another key player, shooting 46% from the field on her way to 12 points and three steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Lucy's fell to 2-1. As for Kaiser, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, St. Lucy's will be taking part in a tournament against Southlands Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kaiser, they will square off against Entrepreneur at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
