Basketball Recap: Pierce City Takes a Loss

Pierce City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Marionville Comets, falling 58-38. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while the Comets are ranked 104th).

Pierce City's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Marionville, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pierce City will challenge Stockton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marionville, they will take on Ash Grove at 6:00 p.m. on February 10th.
