Sonora is 3-0 against Hughson since November of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Sonora Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Hughson Huskies at 3:30 p.m. Sonora will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Sonora was able to grind out a solid win over Hilmar, taking the game 3-1.

Sonora hit Hilmar with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Hailey Watkins, Ayla Diaz, and Estrella Machado.

Meanwhile, Hughson has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 16. Neither they nor Escalon could gain the upper hand on Wednesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Huskies as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak.

Sonora pushed their record up to 9-2-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three games. With that draw, Hughson's record moves to 6-13-2.

Everything went Sonora's way against Hughson when the teams last played on January 8th, as Sonora made off with a 5-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sonora since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
