Basketball Recap: Central School Pioneers vs. Psalms Christian Academy Ambassadors
Central School couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 37-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Psalms Christian Academy Ambassadors on Thursday.
Psalms Christian Academy was led to victory by Wesley Woods and Tristen Vanhook. Woods dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds, while Vanhook went 6 for 12 en route to 13 points plus five rebounds and two steals. Woods is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.
Psalms Christian Academy moved to 2-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
Central School will head out on the road to take on Mount Olive Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Psalms Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lake Area HomeSchool Sports at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
