Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Democrats vs. Santee Falcons

The Jefferson Democrats are taking a road trip to face off against the Santee Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Jefferson has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with three straight losses, while Santee will come in with ten straight wins.

Jefferson came up short against Manual Arts on Monday, falling 45-22.

Meanwhile, Santee earned a 46-33 victory over Manual Arts on Friday. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 424th, while the Toilers are ranked 999th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Santee pushed their record up to 16-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.7 points. As for Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Jefferson was dealt a bruising 64-29 loss at the hands of Santee in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can Jefferson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
