Basketball Recap: Ray Skates Past San Manuel with Ease

Ray won the last time they faced San Manuel and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Ray Bearcats breezed by the San Manuel Miners to the tune of 69-28. That looming 69-28 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bearcats yet this season.

Ray's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonathan Beede, who went 8 for 12 en route to 19 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Those 19 points gave Beede a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chase Chester, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards.

Ray's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-11. As for San Manuel, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Ray will take on Hayden at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ray is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season. As for San Manuel, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 32-29 win against Superior on the 16th.
