Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Amat Lancers vs. Sierra Pacific Golden Bears

The Bishop Amat Lancers and the Sierra Pacific Golden Bears will round out the year against one another at at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Bishop Amat didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Holy Martyrs Armenian, but they still walked away with a 38-33 win.

Meanwhile, Sierra Pacific got the win against Oxon Hill last Saturday by a conclusive 57-37.

Bishop Amat better keep an eye on Asia Jackson. She was instrumental in Sierra Pacific's win, going 7 of 16 en route to 15 points along with eight boards and three blocks. That's the most blocks Jackson has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Apajok Ayuen, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Sierra Pacific smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Sierra Pacific is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Bishop Amat, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
