Baseball Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Clinton might've scored the first runs on Saturday, but it was Angola who claimed the real prize. The Redskins came up short against the Hornets, falling 11-3. If the Redskins were looking for revenge after losing 8-4 to the Hornets when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Clinton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Roman Roberts, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI. Another was Caleb Ernst, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Angola, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

Clinton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-6 victory against Bronson on the 16th. As for Angola, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 20-2 win against Hanover-Horton on the 16th.
