Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Alexandra Gonzalez Landa and Skyler Moore Lead Galt to Victory

Galt waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 29-22 win over the Del Campo Cougars. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Cougars on December 3rd, they had to take a 26-22 loss.

Leading Galt to victory were Skyler Moore and Alexandra Gonzalez Landa. Moore posted 14 points and five boards, while Gonzalez Landa earned four points along with nine boards and six steals.

Galt smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gabby Hays, who put up seven points and six rebounds. Hays has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Kami Vrapi was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Galt's record now sits at 3-6. As for Del Campo, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Galt wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-23 loss against Oakmont on the 21st. As for Del Campo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-47 defeat against Casa Roble on the 21st.
