In what's become a running theme this season, Pioneer gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They blew past Mesa Verde 51-12 on the road. Given Pioneer's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Mavericks are ranked 892nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Navarro hasn't dropped below two steals for 16 straight games. Another player making a difference was Peyton Thorpe, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Woodland's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 11th straight loss. They were dealt a 66-9 defeat at the hands of Rio Linda. Woodland was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-5.
Pioneer's win bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Woodland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-19.
Everything came up roses for Pioneer against the Wolves in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 80-10 win. With Pioneer ahead 46-10 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
