Softball Recap: Windsor Wizards vs. Golden Demons

Windsor had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Golden on Friday. The Wizards put the hurt on the Demons with a sharp 10-4 victory. Considering the Wizards have won five games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Shannon Nielsen made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That run was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Izzy Eisenmann, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Maizie Maga?a was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs.
